Our Music Lessons

We believe we can fulfil our mission statement through providing top quality education in music to our students at only €10 per lesson. We offer group classes in many instruments and students can afford of fantastic value through their participation. We provide teaching workshops which are available for both aspiring teachers and dedicated students. There are also different workshops held for Irish Traditional Music, Popular Music, Baroque Piano Workshops, Flamenco etc. the list goes on. We keep all our prices as low as possible to ensure that anyone can afford to learn music with us.
Our latest RIAM results, i.e. May 2015, 32% of students scored above 90% and the remaining 68% of students score between 80% and 90%. Our students consistently get the highest possible results.
We are yet to be made aware of any other music teaching institution with this standard of results.

The lesson structure and organisation is of the highest standard here at The Academy and is something we are extremely proud of. Our system offers the student the best quality and value and it simply cannot be competed with. We offer our students 30 minute sessions of musical education for only €10 per lesson.
We provide our students with the information and the environment they need to succeed. Not only do we supply all the notes, instruments, accessories and tuition that is needed but we also create a learning environment that allows the student to reach their maximum potential.
Our lesson provides the student with an opportunity to learn a wealth of material. It also allows the student to address any musical queries or concerns they may have and there is dedicated time in ever lesson to insuring our students fully understand everything about the music they are learning. Our teachers are fully dedicated and committed to the success of our students.
Furthermore, the student can choose to learn a variety of instruments and at one time and in one lesson. Students are provided with an opportunity to learn any combination of specialities including the accordion, banjo, guitar, tin whistle, piano, mandolin, drums, violin, harp, organ, bass guitar, flute etc. Please contact us for a full range of instruments and any other details you require - see Contact Us page.
Our students are encouraged, inspired, motivated and engaged in every lesson which ultimately leads to their outstanding success. As one parent put it "I have never seen my child so happy, it really is the best investment I have ever made".
This statement is reflected in our results; every student who has ever sat an RIAM grade exam with the Mayo Academy of Musical Excellence has scored more than 79% and thus achieving an honours standard or above [5/12].
This is a standard that our competition simply cannot match, i.e. 100% of our students scoring above 80%.
